<p>While we recognize that many children love the entire American Doll franchise, including the books and dolls, we have decided that this product is too commercially targeted toward adult collectors to meet our guidelines for review.&nbsp; The hefty price tag for each doll may encourage adults to dissuade children from actually playing with the doll, instead leaving the product to sit prettily on a shelf.</p> <p>Though these dolls are generally well crafted, we do not feel they are truly toys, as per our understanding.</p> <p>There are sources available online for those who wish to learn more about each doll, her backstory, and her accessories.
