Beka Wooden Art Table
A solid wooden art table with an attached paper roll holder. A high quality staple for the crafty kid, we don’t have anything negative to say about it.

Some sellers on Amazon may include a stool for an additional price, but there are none included by the manufacturer. Stools can be purchased separately, here.

A paper roll is also not included with this kit. It can be purchased separately, here. The manufacturer sells it as well, but it may be around the same price (once shipping is added) depending on Amazon’s price fluctuations.

Dimensions: Table stands 22 inches high, and the table top is 2 X 2 feet.

Assembly requires a Phillips screwdriver.

Play

The surface can be used as a dry erase table, which we found is great for kids to practice their alphabet as well as just planning out ideas for future art projects.

The paper is pulled from underneath and fed under the two paper holders on either of the table’s edges.

Observations

Solid wooden construction gives this table a welcome sense of quality when compared to the number of plastic products out there.

The assembly is straight forward, and only requires a Phillips screwdriver. It will of course be faster with a power drill, but a hand drill is what we used and we had no trouble. One person can put it together by themselves. The holes are all pre-drilled, so it’s really a breeze to set up.

The manufacturer recommends this table for children three and up. That’s due to the choking hazard posed by the screws included for assembly, so once put together, the table is perfectly suitable for younger children, so long as they can sit or stand without assistance.

Because the top is a dry erase surface, we suggest using only soft marking items, such as crayons, markers, and paint. Pens and anything sharp may scratch through the paper and create a permanent scratch in the dry erase board. This can show up later if coloring over that spot as a negative space on the paper. This isn’t a huge issue, but we can easily foresee some pickier children becoming distraught over having a scratch in their beloved table.

The dry erase top makes cleaning up a cinch. It makes a pretty good space for kids to eat their lunch, or have a snack break. Though durable, the top can still be stained. Spaghetti should be eaten with care.

Care

Wipe down with dry erase board cleaner to clean off markings

Use isopropyl alcohol (90% and above) to remove stubborn stains

Wipe down wooden parts with soap and water

Parts and Pieces

Box includes the parts needed for the table. Paper and stools and NOT included. A Phillips screwdriver is required.

Additional Paper can be purchased here, and Beka brand wooden stools can be purchased here.
