Kit contains 139 temporary tattoos, 4 tattoo markers (pink, blue, green, purple), 1 metallic silver marker, and 58 rhinestone accents.
Not a lot to say with this one. Pretty straight forward. Put on a temporary tattoo outline, then color in in. Add stick-on jewels for accents.
Place the temporary tattoo outline, then use the markers to fill in. Or, just use the markers to free-style a unique design.
Placing the temporary tattoos and coloring them in requires steady hands, so we agree with the recommended minimum age of 6 for this toy. Younger kids will certainly get a kick out of having a design placed on them, though, so we encourage older kids to help out and let the littler ones in on the fun.
The outlines for this set come straight from the late 90s. Butterflies, hearts, two halves of a BFF locket, and a dolphin are just some of the images that grace the outline sheets. As a few users have pointed out, the designs in this set are what could be called traditionally girly. Flowers, jewels, and delicate looking patterns may not appeal to everyone, even if they’re girls. So, we suggest taking a look at the Color-in Metallic Set. It’s got a different theme, so mixing the two may make everyone happy.
The markers are not quite as thick or opaque as gel-pens, but they still show up on all skins tones.
The colors wash off pretty easily with just warm water and soap. The outlines last a little longer, but are easily dissolved with any kind of oil. Since the color washes off so easily, the outline has a chance of remaining for another round of coloring.
Interestingly enough, we have decided to give this toy a decently high Social score. Over and over again, users talk about how kids will use this kit to give tattoos to people around them. Family, friends, and neighbors frequently end up with “personalized tattoos.” Not only is the one-on-one interaction great for building social skills, but putting thought into what another person might like or dislike is something we absolutely want kids doing.
- Temporary tattoo outlines wash off with oil, or just wear off in a few days. The color easily washes off with water and soap.

Other kits are available, each with different temporary outlines and marker colors.
Color-in Glitter Tattoos
Color-in Metallic Tattoos Kit has images that some may consider more traditionally “for boys.” This is actually a really great set to add in when having a party, so that kids have a wider range of images to choose from.
As the temporary tattoos are dissolved with oil, they may not stick correctly to oily skin.
