Users found this blaster to have less-than-stellar accuracy. As with any blaster, accuracy decreases at greater distances, but some reviewers were unable to make contact with a person standing only 20 feet away. We have found that it helps to make sure the darts are fully loaded into the drum. Sensitive to air pressure, these darts need to be pushed down fully into the drum in order to keep any air from escaping around them when fired. This also means any darts with cracks or tears will not fire as well as intact darts.

Priming, or cocking, the blaster does not require much strength, but reviewers said that children under 6 or 7 may have difficulty pulling the slide back all the way. A few reviewers said 5 year olds were capable of using it, but each child is different.

The foam darts do not cause great pain, but we agree with the manufacturer’s warning that the eyes and face should be avoided. At a close range, getting hit may sting a bit.
