Play

Each player has several cards with colors on them. To play, pick a worm out of the apple, and then look at the bottom of it. If it is the same color as one of your cards, you get to keep it. If it’s not, put it back in the apple and try again until the timer runs out. Each player picks one worm at a time, so go one by one until time is up. Then, either when time is called or when a person gets a worm to match each of their five cards, the game is over and the person with the most matching cards wins.

It’s suitable for children of all abilities, but has been said to be especially helpful with children who could use some extra practice with their motor skills.
The game requires no batteries, and is easy to set up. It comes with a timer and playing cards, which you have to punch out of little pre-cut cardboard pieces. Once that’s done, you can start to play. In some cases, the timer in the box has been broken or didn’t work. However, you can play without it or use your own. When each worm is pulled out of the apple, it makes a sound. Users have commented that the sound is obnoxiously loud and sometimes even scares children. They also say that the entire game needs some manufacturing updates to make playing the game a little bit smoother.
